Jake Harrell Shares His UDIM Importer Plugin for ZBrush
UDIM Importer for ZBrush 4R8 will allow you to import and apply multiple UDIM displacement maps.
With ZBrush 4R8 we now seem to be able to import 32bit maps. This means that we can now properly import and apply displacement maps.
One thing that’s still missing though, is the ability to work (easily) with multiple UV UDIMs.
So I’ve spent a bit of time to put this tool together that’ll allow you to import multiple UDIM displacement and apply it your mesh.
When importing the displacement maps, the plugin will create a new layer for each UDIM. You have the option to merge these layers into one once it’s finished (Default).
It’s currently WIP and may have bugs/issues still unresolved.
This is for 4R8 and above only.
Unfortunately it’s currently only for Windows, hopefully this will change in the future.
